Zac Overbay, Vice President, Claims
Zac has 15 years of industry experience, mainly in liability claims management and large-scale property claims. He is responsible for managing Woodruff-Sawyer’s claim operations (property-casualty, directors & officers, and workers’ compensation). He also provides client consultation in the areas of business litigation, commercial coverage disputes, and catastrophic property losses. Prior to joining our firm, Zac was with State Farm Insurance Company, where he managed several P&C claims departments, including property, subrogation, and business litigation units. He was also a member of the company's national catastrophe team, providing immediate claims response following disasters across the U.S. Zac earned his M.B.A. from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University, Sonoma. He holds the CPCU, ARM, CPDM, and RIMS Fellow (RF) designations. Zac co-authored “Overview of Enterprise Risks: Evaluating and Controlling Business Risks,” the textbook for the Insurance Education Association’s course ERMP-701. He has also been published in the CPCU Journal, Risk Management Quarterly, and Risk Management Magazine and speaks regularly on topics of risk and insurance.
