Norman Allen, Esq., Senior Director, Corporate & Executive Protection
Norman has 15 years' experience advising high-profile companies on executive risk solutions. Norman joined Woodruff-Sawyer in September 2009 and most recently worked at Carpenter Moore Insurance services as senior managing director, a member of the executive team, and executive in charge of claims.
Norman has extensive experience with global D&O insurance solutions and was responsible for the formation of Carpenter Moore’s London subsidiary. He also co-managed the firm’s Asia-Pacific partnership. Norman is also a well-regarded speaker and author on executive liability. He authored the insurance chapter in NASDAQ’s US and China IPO guides and most recently was on faculty at the Stanford Directors’ College.
Norman was a litigator prior to joining Carpenter Moore, with a practice focused on complex insurance and corporate litigation for carriers and companies. Norman is a graduate of the University of the Pacific and earned his J.D. with honors from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF).
