Megan G. Colwell, Senior Vice President

Megan provides risk management and insurance counsel to companies of all sizes, ranging from start-ups to multinational firms. She specializes in management liability insurance for public and privately held companies. Prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer, Megan was with Chubb for 19 years, serving in various positions including underwriter, marketing manager, branch manager, and regional manager.

Megan speaks regularly on matters of insurance and securities litigation. She has presented to the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the American Conference Institute, Risk Management Society (RIMS), and a variety of other organizations.

Currently, she co-chairs Woodruff-Sawyer’s Insurer/Market Security Committee, and also serves as a trustee on the Corporate ESOP Committee. Megan is also a board member of PRBO Conservation Science, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing conservation through bird and ecosystem research and outreach. From 2005-2008, Megan served as chair of the Finance Council for IBA West, a not-for-profit trade association representing insurance agents and brokers in the Western United States.

Megan received her bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University.
