Kristine (Kristy) Furrer, Sr. Vice President, Risk Management
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Kristy applies her strategic and technical expertise to reduce clients’ overall cost of risk.
Kristy founded Woodruff-Sawyer’s Risk Management Practice, which specializes in serving companies that have reached a certain growth level and accumulated assets. She manages our team of dedicated risk management consultants, is actively involved in client management, and drives new business opportunities for this key market segment. Kristy is also a member of the International Executive Committee for Assurex Global, the world’s largest privately held brokerage group (of which Woodruff-Sawyer is a partner). In her role, Kristy represents the interests of the Partner firms and their clients, and is an advisor to Assurex Global’s board of directors on international strategy.
Kristy’s insurance background comprises technology, key risk management, and brokerage consulting positions, including four years in treasury and finance positions for Silicon Graphics. She has also worked with a number of insurance brokerage firms, including Sedgwick James, where she was a senior account executive.
