Jo Smith, Silicon Valley Branch Manager
Jo has 25 years of insurance industry experience, during which she has developed particular expertise in the areas of business development, strategic planning and program design. Her focus is on property & casualty (including products liability) as well as directors & officers liability coverages. In addition to high-tech companies, she has worked extensively with companies in various aspects of healthcare, including biotech and medical diagnostic companies as well as hospital chains. Jo began her career at brokerage firms Marsh, Sedgwick and ABD, where she gained expertise in the real estate and hospitality arenas before specializing in technology and biotechnology. Prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer, Jo spent five years at Willis, where she led the firm’s Silicon Valley technology unit.
