Jim Settles, Senior Vice President, North Bay Benefits Practice Leader
With 24 years of experience designing health & welfare programs, Jim has well-rounded expertise to support clients’ benefit goals and administration activities. As Practice Leader of our North Bay office, Jim focuses on client relationship management, business development and continued growth of Woodruff-Sawyer’s Employee Benefits Practice. His specialties include market analysis, financial analysis including alternative funding methods, wellness programs, federal and state regulatory compliance, and human resources technology solutions. He has particular expertise in serving the winery, hospitality, professional services, manufacturing and technology industries.
Jim began his career at W.M. Mercer as a technical analyst before moving on to become an account executive at Mutual of New York. Prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer in 2008, Jim spent 13 years with ABD Insurance Services, where he was executive vice president. Prior to ABD, he served as president at Paragon Business Insurance Services.
Jim has a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Sacramento. He is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
