Denise Amantea, J.D., Sr. Vice President, D&O
Denise joined Woodruff-Sawyer’s Directors & Officers Practice in 1997 after a career as a senior securities litigation partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California. Denise defended dozens of public companies and their directors and officers in securities class actions and SEC enforcement actions. She is considered a leading expert in securities law and counsels her clients on disclosure issues and recent SEC developments, including Sarbanes-Oxley. Denise is also a recognized industry leader in counseling public and emerging growth companies in connection with directors and officers liability insurance. Prior to working at Wilson Sonsini, Denise was an associate at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro in San Francisco.
Denise earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego and was awarded her juris doctorate from the University of Santa Clara, School of Law. She serves from time to time as a faculty member for Stanford's Directors' College. Denise also speaks at many forums across the country on disclosure issues and directors and officers liability insurance.
