Debbie Hammer, Workers’ Compensation Senior Claims Consultant

Debbie is a technical resource on workers’ compensation claims issues, which include coordinating quarterly claim reviews, developing action plans with the examiners and following through with claims handling procedures. She also coordinates disability management, return-to-work programs, and works on projecting and interpreting clients’ experience modification rate. Prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer in 2005, Debbie was a claims supervisor with Republic Indemnity in San Francisco. Prior to that, she was a rehabilitation counselor with Maralee Reiner Associates in Pleasant Hill. Debbie holds the WCCP and ARM designations, has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Davis and a master's degree in counseling from Sacramento State.
