David W. Broome, Vice President, Account Executive, Employee Benefits Practice
Over his 18-year career, David has accumulated a wealth of diverse experience in the employee benefits industry with leading companies and benefit consulting firms. David works primarily with emerging and mid-cap national companies (both private and public sectors) that require comprehensive strategic guidance and advice on program design and cost containment. Further, he has diverse experience with multinational companies that offer international benefits and have overseas regulatory exposures. With an emphasis on technology and life science industries, David has frequently been a guest speaker for TechAmerica Silicon Valley (formerly AeA), where he has provided commentary and advice to human resources and finance professionals on emerging employee benefit topics. He has also been an active sponsor and participant of the leading bio-science industry group, BayBIO.
Prior to becoming a consultant, David held senior-level positions at Health Net of California, where he led a California-wide strategic sales and service staff. At Health Net, he was active in underwriting and product steering committees, and was the lead architect of the Health Net Pro Cycling Team, part of a national marketing campaign to build awareness around health and wellness. David began his career at CIGNA in Southern California, where he was a field sales representative responsible for developing a distribution network of brokers and serving corporate clients. David earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from San Diego State University. In addition to BayBIO, he is a member of the following professional organizations: TechAmerica, Northern California Human Resource Association, and Society for Human Resource Managers.
